3rd Annual Waveny Arts Festival in New Canaan
The main draw of this popular event is an incredible group of artist and artisan vendors representing a mix of mediums, products and styles. There will be fine art photographers, a diverse mix of jewelry designers, and painters ranging from abstract to landscapes, mixed media to three dimensional and more. There will also be artisan-made textiles, glass, hand-poured candles, stationary, paper products and ornaments. There's a complete range of sizes and price points, so it's a great place to look for original artwork for your home as well as special one-of-a-kind gifts.
See stilt walkers from Matica Arts, and there will be free family art activities run by National Charity League volunteers. Bring a chair or blanket and have a picnic -- Taco Tequila and a Pizza truck will be there as well as So Fresh Doughnut, and Sono creamery serving ice cream.
The Young Entrepreneurs Marketplace will again have a presence at the festival. Kids ages 9-17 will be showcasing and sharing their businesses and products. We're excited to support their creative endeavors!
In addition, there will be live music throughout the day starting with a high-energy performance by the School of Rock and featuring sets by New Canaan Town Brass, performances by The Connecticut Stage Company from their upcoming production of In the Heights', and The Parkway Ramblers a local three piece band performing bluegrass music.
