Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology (MSAE) is excited to announce the 2025 Summer Soundwalks schedule, in partnership with Night Out In The Parks and Chicago Parks District.Throughout the summer, everyone is invited to explore soundwalking in 6 different public parks. Led by teaching artists and special guests, these soundwalks will guide our listening awareness across the natural and cultural dimensions of Chicago landscapes

. How can we contemplate the sounds around us, and where does collective listening lead us?Featured teaching artists: Norman Long & Sara Zalek, Eric Leonardson, Deirdre Harrison & Katie Mazzini, Josh Rios, Veronica Anne Salinas, and Allen Moore.

Soundwalks take place 

June 7: Big Marsh Park

June 15: Palmer Square Park

July 12: West Ridge Nature Preserve

August 10: Unity Park

August 23: Columbus Refrectory

September 6: Jackson Park
