In this 2-hour workshop, children in grades K-8 and their caregivers are invited to make a story quilt using fabric collage methods while learning about the history of story quilts. 

Think of a favorite memory or place. Or a family story that's been told over and over again. Or a dream of a not-far-off future. Story quilts have traditionally been used to illustrate personal, historical, and collective narratives.

No previous experience is necessary. All cloth and materials will be provided. Children are welcome to bring fabric scraps or old clothes if they’d like to transform their own materials into their stories.
