Long Island Live Steamers Mini Train Rides
- see all dates
Chug on down to Long Island Live Steamers' twice-monthly Sunday public run days. Ride steam, diesel, and electric trains operating on eight acres of scale tracks.
These are the days that LILS is open to the public. Typically, run days are scheduled for the second and last Sundays of the month in the summer. But there can be exceptions!
The ride-on trains run from 10:30am-3pm. Tickets are required and may be obtained at the ticket booth.
Rules for riding: Groundline train: children must be able to walk independently without adult fingers or assistance. The hi-line track is 40 inches tall or more. They have measuring sticks around the area. The top of a child's head must be on the top of the stick or over.
NOTE: October 26, 2025 is the last run day of the season. Free parking in the upper parking lot and along Gerard Road only.
Keep up to date via their Facebook page.
